Our Origin Story

Zansèt means Ancestor in the Haitian-Creole language.

Growing up as a first-generation Haitian-American, tea was always the remedy to all ailments (aside from castor oil, which we call lwil maskriti).

Tea brought us together as a family, in celebration, in grief, and other major life experiences.

My siblings and I grew up with our maternal grandmother and mother foraging herbs, creating unique herbal blends, and brewing large pots of tea made with love.

Zanset Tea Co. was created in 2020, as an homage to this intimate and familial tea ritual. These custom and delicious tea blends were created in hopes of inspiring you and your loved ones to live in joy, one cup at a time.
